Alerts remain a crucial communication tool for all those working in healthcare services. But they can be so much safer, faster and better. Alertive goes beyond pager replacement with many innovative features:
Alerts become 2-way exchanges, with a variety of response types that indicate the recipient’s ability and intention, to attend an incident. Senders can also view read receipts and responses and switch over to a messaging conversation if required.
DELIVERY ASSURANCE INCLUDING FAILOVER
Using the latest technology, Alertive overrides device settings to ensure that the most important alerts are seen and heard. Different levels of urgency can be configured from a gentle nudge to a full-volume, vibrating, lit-screen event. In addition, the app can also be configured to react to a lack of response from a particular delivery method, for example in case of fail-over, it would send the alert as an SMS or email.
Alerts can be sent to on-call users, teams, or to relevant roles, with the ability to automatically hunt, escalate and divert to alternative numbers, until the appropriate response is received.
CLINICAL TASKS AND PRIORITIES
Create clarity around competing priorities and tasks, and make it easy for colleagues to pick up and share feedback, using Alertive’s Clinical Tasks and Priorities feature. Initially deployed to support the Hospital at Night working practice, key features includes:
RAPID TASK CREATION
Populate patient details with information from clinical systems, and easily capture the essence of all that needs to be done. Request task support through a coordinator or use a logical flow to match tasks to staff who are available.
Receive real-time updates as progress is made with allocated tasks, from assignment all the way through to completion. Where support is delayed or becomes unavailable, tasks can be escalated or rerouted, ensuring continuity of patient care.
Maintain a fully auditable trail of how tasks were assigned and completed, providing peace of mind and a record of how all tasks are delegated and actioned, without needing to follow up manually.
Alertive messages and alerts can be configured to give a clear indication of urgency, which makes them an efficient and time-saving use of intuitive technology. The application provides real-time updates on changes to patient status, prompts for test results as well as the availability of prescriptions, people and resources. These features include:
CONFIGURABLE MONITORING SERVICE
Customise your monitoring service so that clinicians who receive alerts or messages can balance their need to be responsive, with attending to current activities.
FLEXIBLE API FRAMEWORK
Alertive’s API framework enables integration with a range of legacy and modern systems including EPR, PAS, EDMS and staff rota. We are also signed up to the UK Interoperability Charter demonstrating our commitment to working with other vendors.
Alertive’s bot framework powers the ability to query and extract data from other systems and then set up how that data is made available. Robotic process automation is also available for more sophisticated scenarios.
